Been trying to find a special gift for my upcoming anniversary and I did find what appears to be an active arts studio where they make sculptures, but nobody was on the premises. Artists, man.

Uh, updates

* Our dishwasher is broken
* My oldest kid has changed daycares and it makes me anxious, but he seems mostly okay
* My youngest kid turned one recently and he’s getting good at walking. I think his favorite food is pizza crust.
* Talked to my therapist and realized that I have a lot of emotions tied to my supervisor which sabotages my “five year plan”
* Yesterday, I witnessed a Wegman’s manager hassle a guy for sleeping at the table. He asked me for food, so I bought him a sub, tea, and chips.
* I’ve been playing quite a bit of the new StarFox

My wife was out of town for three days for a family gathering. Day one of solo parenting went absolutely fine; I took both the boys to the mall to run around the play space and we picked up some food that we ate over the next two days. I steadily started losing control of things over the next couple of days as it was difficult to get them out the door in time and then the general mish mash of crap assaulted my day, between work and maintaining the house. That included a full carpet cleaning that has at least inspired me to form fewer piles of crap.

I did get a fair amount of reading done with my less rigid schedule. The trade-off being these late bedtimes for them and for me.

My wife is back now and I’m grateful for her.

Updates: Toddler is completely better. I stayed up late last night, because I beat Donkey Kong Bananza and had to come down from the adrenaline rush.
